Rock Wall

This job on Napier Hill occurred as the clients wanted to open the driveway up to allow another car to park off street.  The wall that was taken out was taken apart and used to build this rock retaining wall.

We also fixed the stormwater pipe issue and placed concrete (stamped) to ensure the whole job was finished correctly and the house could be sold.

Entrance pillar

All too often the pillars either side of a driveway are damaged when cars or trucks drive into them.  Luckily these posts are often quickly fixed and it is not a problem.

Retaining wall

This is another rock wall of a different design.  This utilizes new (if that's the right word) limestone rocks.

Most limestones are made of shell fragments and lime muds, originally deposited in shallow seas. They were compressed and cemented together after sediments (such as siltstones and sandstones) were deposited on top. Then tectonic forces folded, fractured and uplifted the limestone.  Our limestone is about

1.8 million years old.
