What is Durafence made of
It is made using rigid Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) resin , plus UV inhibitors , impact modifiers and stabilizers.
This gives the material long -term durability , flexibility and low maintenance.
Will the PVC yellow.
Durafence PVC fences use a superior durable grade and high content (10parts per 100 parts) of non-chalking T102 (titanium dioxide) and ultraviolet inhibitors that protect the PVC from the harmful effects of the suns UV rays.
Will a PVC fence expand
PVC fencing will expand and contract according to temperature. This is normal and expected which we allow for when installing the fencing.
Can you get PVC fences in dark colours.
Titanium Oxide is the main ultraviolet inhibitor, it is a white pigment. It is difficult to obtain a dark colour while having a significant white pigment. That is why our light grey panels will fade slightly and the white panels are colour stable. Dark colours will quickly fade.
How strong is PVC
PVC has five times the tensile strength of wood and four times the flexibility, the flexibility and strength will allow is to withstand normal wind loads.
Is PVC fencing graffiti proof
Although not classified as graffiti proof , PVC fencing can be cleaned using an abrasive cleaner such a jiff or similar or in extreme cases methylated spirits or mineral turpentine then washed with soapy water, you maybe left with an oily ghosting but this will disappear over time.
Can I paint PVC
There should be no reason to paint PVC. Any paintings voids the warranty.
How are Durafence PVC fences installed
Similar to most fencing they are installed with concrete around each fence post , in high wind zones we recommend aluminium inserts in every second or third post for extra strength.
What about gates
Gates are custom built to any size to match the fence from pedestrian gates to driveway gates .

Durafence panels are taller than similar panels on the market , with a rail to rail height of 1830mm or 6ft. The overall height of the fence from the ground to the top of the post is 1930mm , this is combined with a 50mm height off the ground for the bottom rail.
The PVC design is neighbour friendly , which means you and your neighbour do not have to choose who gets the side with the rails.
