For this project in Hastings, we were brought in to complete the finishing touches on a new build.

The new build house still needed the final touches so the family could move in. We installed the decking entrances, created paths, placed a large concrete pad and custom built a smart cover for the septic tank.
#1 New build - pathways

Here you can see the court yard and the walkway along the back of the house. We first dug out the ground to allow us to then bring in crushed stone that we compacted to make a firm surface. Next a layer of lime sand that was also compacted before placing the pavers. The final step was to surround the pavers with soil or stones so the ground was flat again.
#2 Septic tank cover

We welded a steel frame that we then screwed Garapa decking to. This allowed us to have a low level and strong cover that could be lifted for easy access.
#3 Concrete pad

We dug out, compacted and placed a concrete pad that could be used for entertaining. Later we returned to set up the outside fireplace (see our other news post).

The final stages were the garden edging, the Garapa entrances and final soil and grass. In this case the grass see was placed using a hydroseeder that sprayed grass seed directly onto the ground.
