The cost of masonry work depends on the materials, design, and site conditions.
Factors that affect cost:

The client had been speaking with a landscape designer and together created a plan for the courtyard area of the new luxury guest house on Marine Parade, Napier. Take a look at some of the pictures from this build.
#1 Finished Masonry work for the courtyard, including the waterfall

Masonry work using reclaimed bricks from the guest house and additional supplied materials created a beautiful courtyard with a water feature. The concrete was coloured white to prevent it from turning grey, ensuring a clean, lasting finish.
#2 We prepared the area using our digger

Our digger made quick work of preparing the area. We took away the top layers before bringing in crushed concrete to make a firm base.
#3 Outside Entertaining Concrete Area

Once the base was prepared we set the old bricks in place with mortar. Finally we were able to start adding the white concrete
#4 Waterfall feature using old bricks

Our mason then created the pool for the water feature. The air-conditioning units were unsightly so our masonry expert built a brick wall to hide these. The noise of the water feature also helped disguise the noise of the air-con units.
#5 Brick wall completed with blade waterfall.

Here we can see the completed brick wall with waterfall. The old bricks really helped give this area a lot of interesting colours and textures to absorb.
#6 The brick stairs with lights

The brick stairs took a little while to build as we needed to ensure each step was even. The lights under the top of each step make a pretty feature at night and help make the stairs safe.
